A Post for January

Not much to report really. Stupid January.

What started out looking like an awesome winter has been pretty lame so far. It's above zero today... I'm guessing it's going to be like last year and drag on for ever as well. Bah.

So, we've been skiing only a couple of times, and not been skating yet. We went for a little cross-country action in Gatineau with our friend Leah one Saturday morning; Elli tried the new-style skate-ski's, which were pretty fun. We were pretty exhausted on Saturday night however.

We just hosted a traditional Scottish Burns supper. Elli was the ring-leader; she made neeps and tatties (I had to do the haggis ;), and led us through some ceilidh dances. She also made us all read out some of Rabbies poems in our best Scottish accents. I got to do the 'Address To a Haggis', with Braveheart playing in the background, which was pretty fun. Then we all drank too much whiskey.

This weekend we're off to Guelph to stay with our friend Seanna and go to a music festival called "Hillside Inside"... lots of awesome acts, should be pretty good.

- out
