Obligatory Holiday Greeting
Hi all! Hope you've had/are having a good break.
We spent Christmas at Peter and Jennie's and had a great time... I ate an entire Cornish Hen! I was very proud. We saw Chrissie and Sue, Elli's great-aunt and somethingth cousin something-in-law respectively, for the first time in a while which was nice.
We haven't been very interesting in the last couple of weeks- we're both trying to get everything finished off at our respective work-places, organise the next six months of backpacking and what happens after that, sell all our stuff, and do the Christmas thing.
Our plan, for those who are interested, is to leave Canada on the 28th of February (Immigration barking at our heels), spend a couple of days in NY and a couple in LA, and then hit Guatemala. There, we will enrole in an intensive Spanish course for a couple of months, before tooling around Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and finally Panama over the course of three or four months.
Then at the end of July we're off to the UK for one of Elli's best-friends' wedding. We'll probably doss about in Glasgow and/or London for a month or so (and I'll endevour to catch up with you UK plebs) before heading to Spain for another month. If things look good there we will try and settle for a while - but we'll burn that bridge when we come to it.
I've told that story so many times I'm sure everyone who cares already knows about it, but just in case you don't... stop asking me! :-)
